Muslim Europe and The Ottoman

The Ottoman

Although the Crusades, which lasted from the eleventh to the thirteenth centuries, were finally over, Christians and Muslims sought to conquer more by consolidating their power, which seemed to fear the power of the Ottoman Empire.

After the beginnings of Islam and the conquests of the Khilafah period and their footsteps in Europe, the Turks among the Muslims laid the foundation of the strongest and longest lasting Islamic Empire (Ottoman) and the light of Islam was heard in Europe.  After the conquest of Hijaz, the Ottoman rulers ruled the Islamic world by naming the power "Ottoman Caliphate".

The Muslims conquered many islands in the Mediterranean at different times.  Cyprus was first conquered in 653 AD during the reign of Uthman.  The conquest of Rhodes in 672, which is the conquest of Muawiyah era, as well as Crete in 825, Sicily in 827, Malta in 869, Blyaric Islands in 902 and Sardinia in 1015.  During the Umayyad period, Muslims turned their attention to Europe and conquered a large part of it.

Muslims ruled Spain for 800 years.  Sicily has been the cradle of Islamic civilization for centuries.  In 842 the Muslims conquered the Italian city of Messina and in 877 the capital Syracuse.  He ruled southern Italy for 150 years after conquering the Italian coastal city.  The Ottoman Empire was established in Anatolia in the 13th century, and for over a century, Ottoman armies occupied large parts of Europe by the time of Sultan Murad I in 1360, after great conquests.  Conquered Bulgaria, Macedonia, Kosovo, and Serbia, but several attempts to conquer Constantinople, an important city of the Roman Empire, had failed, and finally, during the reign of Sultan Muhammad the Conqueror.

During the reign of Sultan Muhammad the Conqueror, Crimea (Ukraine), the most important state in Eastern Europe, became a tribute to Osman.  Even after the conqueror of Sultan Muhammad, a series of glorious conquests continued in Europe.  In different periods, important areas of Europe were under Ottoman Empire, including Serbia, Bulgaria, Romania, Yugoslavia, etc.
